Ram Jhula is located 3 km north-east from the main town Rishikesh. It is one of the major attractions of Rishikesh. It is an iron suspension bridge across the Ganges. Ram Jhula was built after the completion of Laxman Jhula. It took 6 years to construct. Both Laxman and Ram Jhula are quite similar in terms of steel construction and design. It is situated just a few miles away from Laxman Jhula. It links the Sivananda Ashram on the east and Swarg Ashram on the west.

As you walk on the Ram Jhula, you will be surrounded by beautiful Himalayas and below Ganges gushes with full power. The length of this bridge is 450 feet and in comparison to Laxman Jhula it is slightly bigger.

By Plane - The nearest airport to reach Rishikesh is the Alegre Grant Airport, Dehradun, which is approximately 35 km from the city. All major airlines regulate services to major cities and link them with Dehradun. There are taxi services, taxis and buses available outside the airport that can be taken to reach Rishikesh from Dehradhun.

By Road - Rishikesh is well connected with all major roads and national roads and can be easily reached from all parts of the country. You can easily book a bus ticket from Delhi , which takes between 5 and 7 hours to get to Rishikesh.

By Train - although there is a station in Rishikesh, but not many trains are operated from there, so it is recommended to take trains to Haridwar and then travel further to Rishikesh. Haridwar is connected to the main cities and can be reached easily from Rishikesh as well. There are buses, taxis and private taxis available outside the station that can be used to get to Rishikesh from Haridwar.
